What Am I Doing?
I (Tim Lotz) will be going to Uganda, Africa on January 4th, 2013. Before then I am going to try to raise money for shoes for the kids in Oditel (the village I am going to) because they don't have shoes to walk to school in and there are alot of foot infections. To do this I am going to get pledges for every day I go without shoes. My goal is 100 days. But you can help too. You can make a one time donation on this page. If you don't have that much money you can donate a used pair of flip-flops (flip-flops are best because they don't wear out as fast and they fit more sizes) I will be starting on September 1st. Wish me luck!

Days 6-9
Sorry about not posting for awhile. The first week of school was making me tired. Anyway, not much happened in school Thursday and Friday. Some more people asked me what I was doing, and one teacher sugested that I get a donation jar to carry around in school, so people know they can donate. I'm going to make one of those this week. Saturday I went to the Night of Destruction at the Kalamazoo Speedway with my friends Andrew and Dan. I had a good time especially when they drove a limo through a camper. I had some people ask me why I was barefoot so I gave them buisness cards. My feet did get slightly cold as it got later in the night, so that made me wonder how winter is going to feel. Today I went to church and welcomed the freshmen into the youth group, it was move up Sunday so everybody moved up a grade, then I went home and had a lazy Sunday afternoon watching tv. Over all it was a pretty good first week of school and no shoes.

Hi, Tim! I was thrilled to read your blog about your fundraising technique. Not sure that you know who I am, but your Uncle John posted your blog on his FB. Your dad and I are 2nd cousins.
ReplyDeleteKeep on pressing toward your goal. It is a lofty one, but one that will greatly impact a village.
Blessings,
Benita (Myers) Wagner
